Auditor General submitted Annual Report, 2010
In accordance with the provisions of Interim Constitution of Nepal, 2007 Acting Auditor General Mr. Badri Bahadur Karki submitted Annual Report, 2010 on 14 June 2010 to the Rt. Honorable President of Nepal for the fiscal year ending July 15, 2009. The Annual Report consists of four chapters which includes details of bodies audited by the AG throughout the year, situation of irregular amounts, attempts made to settle such irregular amounts and achievements made on the settlement of irregular amounts and reforms to be made in the future in respect of audit. Audit observations and findings reported were based on audit examination of the financial statements and accounts of Constitutional Bodies, Supreme Court, Legislature-Parliament, Ministries, Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police, Government fully-owned Enterprises and autonomous bodies such as Board, Trust, Committees, Universities and so on. The Report also includes performance audit reports conducted during 2009/10 by covering 14 different projects and programs.


Acting Auditor General
In accordance with the Act relating to Constitutional Bodies, Remuneration, Provision of Service and Privileges, 1997, Deputy Auditor General Mr. Khem Prasad Dahal took charge as Acting Auditor General with effect from 28th June 2010.
Mr. Dahal joined in Civil Service in 1979 in the capacity of Account Officer. He entered in Nepal Audit Service of this Office as Assistant Auditor General in January, 2003 and currently serving in the capacity of Deputy Auditor General since August, 2009. Mr. Dahal has experience in the field of Government Financial Management.
52nd
Anniversary
The Office of the Auditor General Nepal (OAG/N) organized a 52nd anniversary program on 29th June 2010 under the chairperson of Acting Auditor General, Khem Prasad Dahal. Parliamentarian Mr. Ram Krishna Yadav, President of Public Accounts Committee, was a chief guest of this program. Mr. Yadav addressed the program by highlighting the role of public audit and focused on the capacity development of OAG/N for maintaining the financial discipline. Assistant Auditor General Mr. Dev Bahadur Bohara delivered the welcome speech and Acting Auditor General Mr. Dahal expressed concluding remarks with the future commitment to enhance the role of OAG/N.
