53rd Anniversary

On 29th June 2011, the Office of the Auditor General of Nepal (OAG-N) celebrated its 53rd anniversary. This celebration was chaired by Acting Auditor General, Mr. Khem Prasad Dahal and attended by Speaker of the Legislature-Parliament, Honourable Subash Chandra Nemwang,  as chief guest, Chairperson of Public Accounts Committee (PAC), Mr. Ram Krishna Yadav, Former Auditor General Mr. Bishnu Bahadur K.C., former Deputy Auditors General and the retired staff of OAG-N. The chief guest of the program distributed the certificates to the winners of different sport events organized by OAG-N in connection with the annual celebration.

Similarly, chairperson of PAC distributed the certificate to the OAG-N staff who donated blood. Former AG Mr. Bishnu Bahadur K.C.  felicited to the staff who completed 30 years of services in OAG-Nepal.

Auditor General submitted Annual Report, 2011

In accordance with the provisions of Interim Constitution of Nepal, 2007 Acting Auditor General Mr. Khem Prasad Dahal submitted 48thAnnual Report, 2011 on 16 April 2011 to the Rt. Honourable President of Nepal covering the audit of  the fiscal year ending July 16, 2010. The Annual Report consists of four chapters which includes details of bodies audited; status of irregular amounts; attempts made to settle such irregular amounts and achievements made along with reforms needed in the future in respect of audit. Audit observations and findings  reported  were based on audit examination of the financial statements and accounts of  Constitutional Bodies, Supreme Court, Legislature-Parliament, Ministries, Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police,  Government fully-owned Enterprises and autonomous bodies such as Board, Trust, Committees, Universities. The Report cited number of areas of concern in the management of public funds. The Report also includes the observations of performance audit conducted during 2010/11 by covering 16 different projects and programs.
